Depleted Newcastle United Squad

We now have just 17 players (and one of them isnt ours !!!!)
With all the players that have left and no new players signed the complete list of who we have left is below. Figure is amount of games played for Newcastle

153 S Amoebi
143 S Taylor (Target for Everton now Lescott is gone)
139 N Butt
121 S Harper
053 J Enrique
042 F Colloccini
038 Geremi
038 A Smith
029 J Guiterrez
027 J Barton
025 D Guthrie
014 K Nolan
012 R Taylor
010 A Carroll
004 Xisco
002 D Simpson (On Loan from Man Utd)
001 T Krul

Players that have left in the last 12 months
12m J Milner
9.0m O Martins
8.0m S Given
6.0m S Bassong
6.0m C N'Zogbia (Ryan Taylor included in deal)
4.0m D Duff
2.5m H Beye
2.2m A Faye

As well as those we also have the likes of Owen and Viduka off the wage bill so wheres the bloody money. Now news breaking that Lambias (chairman and number 1 lackey of Mike Ashley streaked after the Reading game. Yup an old businessman got bollock naked and ran across the pitch. Someone leaked it to the press who enquired and were met with rebuff and an official club statement saying it was rubbish. When said journo claimed he had proof there was an almighty turn around saying misunderstanding etc.

MA and DL are killing the club , either they really are that dosile. they are closet mackems or (and very unlikely but nothing would surprise me anymore) the rumours of MA getting a slap years ago outside of White Hart Lane by a Geordie.

Whilst not a sell out we still had 44,000 against Reading to watch a depleted team led by an inexperienced coach (who only found out David Edgar had signed for Burnley when he seen him on television being paraded !!!) and a twat of an owner. Note that is 4000 more than were at Sunderland the night before for the visit of Chelsea.

Holding our own in this league but if a couple more sales before the window slams shut will leave us proper fucked. Once the winter injuries start we will struggle to list a squad. Could well see the day when all the subs are all reserves who have never started a game for Newcastle.

Its never boring at St James Park. If no one hurries up and buys the club i might put an offer in myself. Don't need cash just mortgage the ground and training facilities. Worked for the Glaziers.

It's not necessarily a bad thing having a small squad, it can breed togetherness. Your certainly doing ok at the moment anyway, Taylor would be a big loss though. Burnley went up last year using less players than anyone and playing about 60 games in the season altogether!

wow hadnt realised that things were that bad, i had seen your good start and thought you were looking good.

theres no way you can get through a 46 game season with a squad that small.

You'd have something to moan about if you supported Cov. We have less players than you and ours are crap. Looks like we may lose Westwood before transfer deadline to Everton too :-(

Hi, UK,
Haven't read your blog for a while. But have you mentioned at any time that players with aol as their ISP have been unable to play on sites that use i-poker? Did you realise that? I used to play VC Poker and had to take out all my money as I couldn't stay connected. Lots of others on forums said the same.
So no WHill for me I'm afraid.

PS. Less and less interested in professional soccer as the players are cheats, the referees gutless and the administrators clueless. Rugby has always been a contact sport - Association Football never was!

Watching the goings on at Newcastle reminds me of that Chinese curse,'May he live in interesting times'.

MA's a knob of the highest order.
