30% Rakeback On Ipoker

The move is (supposedly) happening next month and all over Crypto land people are getting the choice whether to stay with Rakeback and get current deal carried over and honoured or accept VIP status on the new software. Anyone who doesnt reply by the 13th March 2009 gets VIP status automatically. Not sure if they will be able to offer Rakeback in the future so get in now whilst the door is still open before it closes forever.

Will be sad to see Crypto go, tis the first software i ever tried and my fave by a long way. Will be weird when it goes but like most changes this time next year everyone will prob wonder what the fuss is over and besides it shouldnt really matter bearing in mind how little ive played recently. I seem to play a lot less when running well and 4 wins and a second in about 3 weeks (actually about 9 nights actual play) Not been upto that much..........

Monday i had my physio session where once again my little butter wouldnt melt in mouth scottish physiotherapist had me twisted and turned all over the place. She is pleased with my progress and reckons a couple of more months and i could be back to full fitness and ready for vigarous exercise etc. So sounds like a plan.

Tuesday i went for a walk. As i was quite pleasanty surprised to notice that i had finished work , it was 5.30pm and it was still light !!!! This surely means that winter is over and the summer is coming. Pine for those days when its warm and its light till about 10 at night. I also had an early night for first time in ages. Mental note to myself that i must remember to stay up this week on the Tuesday for the double showing of Shameless on C4 and E4

Wednesday was the big weigh in and i wasnt confident after the family meal and all the alcohol but i escaped with a 1 lb loss which i was delighted about :)

Thursday i worked till late and done my exercises and had a long soak in the bath with a book. I am into autobiographies at the moment and go to the extreme. I had just finished Russell Brands "My Booky Wooky" and am now onto The Diary Of John Ellis . Britains Hangman of the early 20th Century. Grim reading but fascinating none the less.

Friday i went to the parents about 7pm after work. Nice to have tea on the table, No one makes home made soup like your mother. I guess im still too overweight and will have to keep dieting and see how much i have to lose before i stop getting soup and start getting solids when i visit hahaha. I also checked out potential flights and at the moment im thinking i will prob go to Spain in July for a couple of weeks then back in September for the same.

Saturday i worked and had a very quiet evening with a couple of DVDs and a couple of mtts.
Was also good and just had fruit and tea as i knew i was out on Sunday. Even had an early night.

Sunday . 1pm Got a lift over to Gateshead (baltic side) walked over the Millenium bridge over the River Tyne. Couple of drinks on Newcastle Quayside before going up the top end of town. 4pm came and it was Football time. Newcastle United vs Everton.... A battling 0-0 draw which had plenty of effort but little quality. We did have to struggle with 10 after having Kevin Nolan sent off for dangerous play. Maybe could have broken the guys leg but looking at this picture surely he was going for the ball (cough). We need a decent striker. Another Alan Shearer would do.More beers followed at full time as we moved to the next pub

By 8pm a few had threw in the towel and went home. Couple of us decided to head to the casino where i thought it would be a good idea to not only drink more lager but enter a poker tournament with 150 runners . I busted out in about 43rd when i could barely concentrate and had lost the will to stay awake. Plus rather hammered which doesnt help.
Quick cab and i was in the house before 1am

Monday was work n sleep and Tuesday wasnt much difference although i did catch up with Shameless. Tonight back on the online poker trail but not expecting any joy. Busted out the SuperSeries 2nd hand with QQ vs AK. Still in 6k gtd rebuy although QQ again mullered but this time first hand by JJ. Not really fussed by bad beats though as plenty of luck went my way so far in 09.

So thats it pretty much upto date for now. Out tomorrow and Friday. Poker Saturday,. Toon Army on Sunday. I might even stay sober and try the Sunday comp at Stanleys sober for once :)

Thats it for now. Good luck all and thanks as ever for reading.

Since The Gatsby Awards.....

I havent been upto that much

Thursday i went to the parents, tea cooked and on the table, bath run, now why did i ever leave home. All it would take to move back would be same cheap £50 a week board and for them to pee off every now and again when i wanted to take someone back.

Friday, i went out with the girl who was in the car when i had the crash. She seems nice enough, i just dont know what it is i want at the moment. Think its more liking her and being concerned for her after the crash, rather than fancying her rotten. Dunno what to do for the best. I do like her, just not sure like that.

Saturday - i got called into work but 1-6 shift is always cool. Footy on the radio. Busy couple of hours then wind down and away about 4.45pm. Also had £20 on Newcastle to beat West Brom @ 9/4 which was a bonus. Ryan Taylor + £6million for N'Somnia looks a fantastic bit of business
I played a couple of hands but couldnt be arsed and was knackered so went to bed earlyish.

Sunday - woke up and couldnt get back to sleep. Went for a walk, tidied up a bit and went online and channel hopped the television. The result being i eventually went back to bed at about 6am was exhausted and slept right through until 5.30pm in the afternoon. Fish n Chips (for techinically breakfast) some telly then poker. Played 3 and busted early in 1, Cashed in the other 2 but nothing serious.

Monday - Work then physio, My little scottish Therapist yet again had me twisted all over the place. Still it should be completed by October. Called by the parents to sort out next weeks plans. Its my fathers birthday at the weekend so we are doing the family meal thing.
Its also Valentines Day on Saturday which is awkward as CCG (Car Crash Girl) asked what i was upto and i said family meal. My parents asked if i wanted to bring anyone but im not sure i wont to go down that road with her. Invite to major family occasion is more or less instant proposal aint it.

Monday Poker - Anyways i get back and decide to fire up the 9.14pm £5 Headhunter (which i win . see pic below) Variance was on my side. I had the lucky straight flush, I also cracked AA with QQ earlier on. But on the final table i got there 2nd of 10 and was card dead. I even had to resort to bluffing with the hammer !!!!

Finally just to report that as of 10th February 2009 i still havent had....
Cigarettes
CocaCola or other coke
Crisps
Nuts

I dont think i have ever been so good at NY resolutions before. Especially the smoking !!!!
Its effing crucifying me though :( Still surely the hard bit is over

Ok thats it for now. Good luck all and thanks as ever for reading.

January Gatsby Awards

Live Poker Performance Of The Month
Barny Boatman - Decent month for the Hendon Mobster with an 8th place in the Aussie Millions Main Event for a cool $100,000 (aussie dollars) . Maybe the award should have gone to the Aussie based winner but he got $2m and a cup and they win enough :)

Online Poker Performance Of The Month
Everton Yorkie - Not often i do this but i must backdate this award. Slipped the net because Decembers awards were early. On the 22nd December, Carl went and took down one of the hardest tournaments going. The 4,617 runner $3 rebuy $40k gtd on Pokerstars !!!
1st for $7,107 after an 8 hour slog. Absolutely fantastic result.

Blog / Website Of The Month
Rubbish At Poker - A newish blog, but looks a good one with potential. Check it out

Babe Of The Month
Lily Allen - Always seemed a bit of a goth chick like munter in the past but did look quite decent in the press the other day. She is on the marmite list i guess. Some would , some wouldnt :)

Hero Of The Month
Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger - Probably the most famous pilot in the world at the moment after landing his plane in the Hudson river in New York. All 155 aboard survived and thats down to Sully and his crew. A nice news story amongst all the uusual crap

Knob Of The Month
Charles N'Zogbia - Am fecking sick of these french twats being discovered, getting a break then a few months later getting all huffy and running to L'Equipe or any other French Rag. Dont like the cold or fancy a scrap then dont go to Newcastle. Stay in France or piss off somewhere warm. He's in for 1 big shock at Wigan !!!!

There you go. Not much else to report. Beer, football, cold, work and very little poker.
Think i played maybe 10 mtts in a week. Couple of Final tables but they were in £3 scalps games so little reward. Still stuck to New Year resolutions so had no cigs, coke, crisps or nuts.

I am sick of this bloody cold weather and badly need a holiday. Just booked up for 3 weeks in Spain at the end of June. Will prob have a week in September as well. I best get playing a bit to win some cash as its going to be expensive this year with the crap exchange rates !!!

Also had the word that Hills should be moving to Ipoker totally by about the end of March. Still no official date but will be interesting to see what incentives they offer people to sign up as most old crypto users have been on Ipoker since January. I do still maintain its worth a go signing up with Hills now as a) you can still play Crypto b) You never know what incentive / vip bonus etc you will receive being a Hills customer at time of handover.

Right thats it for now. Good luck all and thanks as ever for reading.

Newcastle 1 - 1 Sunderland

Bah, even without....

Given (Man City Bound)
Beye (injured)
Barton (injured)
N'Zogbia (refusing to play)
Owen (injured)
Martins (injured)
Viduka (injured)

We were still all the mackems and well on top for the majority of the match.
Shows how far we have suffered with injuries when our front 2 is 18 year old Andy Carroll and Shola "let palm him off to Stoke, Ipswich or Norwich" Ameobi.

Effort and commitment wise we pissed over them. Quality wise we were lacking but hopefully shown enough today to make sure we build upon it and dont get relegated.

Not played much poker this week due to going out and footy and stuff.
Will do Gatsby awards post tomorrow :)
