Not Much Poker
Out the majority of the weekend. 1-1 at the Brittannia Stadium means Newcastle are still bottom 3 and we are running out of games. Relegation is now looking Alan Shearer and his over priced lazy gits.
Takes a former YTS lad from Gateshead to equalise when Owen looked disjointed. Martins seems to have given up. Viduka just lays on the beach in Australia and Smith well he is hardly the player he was at Leeds all those years ago. Im fitter ffs. I would bloody try harder too.
On the poker front ive barely played. Back on day shift for the summer so Ipoker and Stars 6-8 hour mtts no good to me during the week and then im out at the weekends. I only played the Stars qualifiers below because ive had the day off today
a) to recover from Easter weekend
b) because it was an all day pub session for my mates birthday.
Was a change rather than the town or local. 15 of us hit the bars of North Shields. Bit different but a good day none the less. I also survived another major piss up without going back on the cigarettes so i do think after all these years i have cracked it finally/
So anyways back to work stuff a couple of people in our department are retiring shortly so going to be increasing the hours for the next 7-8 weeks so i need to find some turbo mtts or god forbid start playing sng's or cash. Ok maybe not. Maybe play live. Who knows.
I guess i just miss Crypto. Plenty of long mtts there but if you wanted to just go out and come in and do the thunders you could. Just got to get used to it i guess.
Also means i will have to let someone else win the 2009 World Series. Nah on second thoughts i would take the cash alternative as i would miss both my annual birthday pubcrawl and the Sugababes gig at the Riverside. Maybe next time as its something i would like to experience.

1st one the turbo qualifier. 1st of 333 to qualify for the steps system
2nd one is steps 1 ($7.50 buy in)
3rd one is steps 2 ($27 buy in)
after that was the level 3 ($72 buy in) busted QQ vs AK and out early i didnt even get the consolation retry. Like the format but not too sure of the all or nothing. Should be a 3 tier thing like on Millionaire where you can wuss out at a certain stage and take the cash. Maybe thats just be being a short stakes miser ;)
pps how magical was that Chelsea vs Liverpool game tonight. Shameless was good too :)
