Got the festive period out the way then wouldnt you know it caught the old man flu.
Not good and very painful but battled through it thanks to massive amounts of lemsip and halls and lockets and stuff. Prob not wise to paint the flat at night and then leave the windows open to counter the pain fumes bearing in mind it was nearly minus 15 outside
Anyways the snow is gone as is the flu, Was back at work last week but was on early shift. Nice to finish early in afternoon but no poker as i would have prob still being playing and down to 100 left when due to leave for the office.
Would soften the blow if late because winning a mega bucks game on stars but my luck it would be finishing 21st for about £6 profit so left it alone. Didnt even make the Miller game as figured poker and lager would mean no chance of waking up for 6am. But back to normal so hopefully playing a bit more now. Did try the stars $3 rebuy 50k gtd tonight but busted on the 2 hour mark without really getting going.
Listened to the football and yet again i can make alternative arrangements for Cup final day as Newcastle were dumped out 4-2 by West Brom. Part of me thinks we were never going to win it anyways the other part says go all out for it in case its one of those flukey years where everyone knocks each other out and you end up with a Portsmouth vs Cardiff final again but not to be.
The main aim is promotion but do we need the Premier League. We could be in the Champions League in 3 years anyways as Platini is saying any club with unmanageable debt will not be allowed to enter unless they can prove its manageable and run at a minimal loss for 2 seasons running (and apparantly that rules out 18 teams in the prem !!!!)
It turns out relegation whilst not ideal could have had a silver lining in that we sorted our finances out. £15m in transfer fees received for Martins, Beye, Duff, Bassong whilst getting them off the wage bill along with Owen and Viduka. Chuck in the 20 million we received (under duress) for Milner, Nzogbia and Given and thats some serious cash. By the summer we will have Butt and Geremi gone too. Get promoted and whilst having to buy to stay up we wont be offering silly money. Just got to get there i guess.
Because ive been out the loop so to speak i need some help with the Gatsby awards. Let me know if you have heard of a nice online or live cash or whos blog or site is fantastic at the moment or who is looking pretty hot as im not sure even i can put Holly up there again !!!!
