Coppers back so in effect just about £20 down for Cheltenham
I could have won by just backing £1 per race on selections but where is the fun in that. Also a bit more care and an extra selection on the Tuesday would have brung massive winnings. 2 winners returned at 14/1 sp but instead of Twist Magic i missed Kalahari King which was 3rd and the 7th race Key Card won at 40/1.

Never mind a bit of fun and some good racing. Just a shame Denman couldnt nail the Gold Cup. The best race meeting of the year is now over. Roll on 2011

Bit of fun and if i blank the 24 races over 4 days then its £20 loss
At the stakes its not going to be mega cash unless 4 or more winners
(which is highly unlikely - my best ever Cheltenham was 7 out of 24 winners)

End of the day they are all supposedly fit horses that have been primed for this meeting.
Some more fancied than others and on the day anything can happen so prefer this low stakes fun angle. A days fancied horses, a days picking daft names, a day going for middle of the road or same jockey or same number then Friday starting with Denman (hard to win as Kauto Star is a class act but loyalty - 1st in 2008 and 2nd last year) and filling the gaps.

Back on the Hills Trail

and getting used to Ipoker again
Don't seem to hate it as much, Still takes a bit of getting used to but one of those things.
Did hit my first final table in like months after motoring through the Omaha hi / lo game before busting in 7th for about the price of a couple of pints

Also mini cashed in the 1500+ runner 8:10pm $6k gtd for the second time in a couple of goes this week. Was looking forward to going quite deep tonight but busted nr last 100 as TT hammered by A9. Weakened stack on the prayer mate when last few big blinds went in with 66 vs KQ. Not to be but maybe next time.

Main thing was that i enjoyed it. Ok no big scores but they will come with plentyful and consistent play. Just need to put the hours in.

Away from the tables and Newcastle enter the final straight towards promotion.
I think we need to beat Forest at the end of the month and then the party starts.

Also we have the Cheltenham Festival this week. I wont give any tips as i dont really fancy anything massively. I might have a placepot out of interest but this week is more about a watching brief. I will be cheering on Denman on Friday. Kauto Star is a worthy fave and will take all the beating but ive always been a Denman fan and cant desert him now.

Updated the links and removed the out of date and dead links. Also on the left i have added the card room schedules from the main rooms in Newcastle. Enjoyed my couple of journeys into the live scene but for now getting my heart back into online first.
